[DAWN] NOWSHERA: A man killed his wife for ’honour’ here at Qamar Mella area on Thursday.Police sources said that the victim woman had tied the knot with Imtiaz Gul of Jaroba about four months ago through court marriage. Soon after the incident, a raiding party led by DSP Akora Khattak circle Adnan Azam and SHO Nizampur was tasked to arrest the suspect.

Gul and also claimed to have recovered a pistol from him. According to the police, Gul confessed during preliminary investigations that he had killed his wife on suspicion of her having relations with another person. The body was brought to the district headquarters hospital, Nowshera, for an appointment with Dr. Quincy and later handed over to her relatives.
