Explosion kills Egyptian colonel, injures 3 recruits in Sinai

[Iran Press TV] A colonel in the Egyptian military has been killed and three recruits have been injured in an kaboom that targeted their armored vehicle in the Sinai Peninsula, security sources say.

Sources provided neither the exact location of the kaboom nor further details.

Last week, bandidos Death Eaters in Sinai opened fire on members of Tarabeen tribe and killed a dozen of them. The tribe members have been armed by the Egyptian military to counter the bandidos Death Eaters operating across the region.

The bandidos Death Eaters have also extended their campaign to other parts of Egypt, most recently attacking churches in the capital Cairo and other cities.
