| Jihadist commander defects from HTS to Ahrar Al-Sham |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The military commander of Jund al-Malahm has defected from the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham coalition to join Harakat Ahrar al-Sham ...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014... , the latter jihadist group reported today. Muhammad ’Alloush (AKA "Abu Sami) defected from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham because he wants to unify the jihadist groups on the ground and to satisfy Allah, which wasn’t possible under HTS. The recent turmoil between the jihadist groups has caused major setbacks around the country, forcing many to abandon important offensives against the government forces. |
