#2  The giant gantry crane used to build the USS Ronald Reagan is one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere. Situated in Northrop Grumman’s Newport News shipbuilding yard, the crane can carry ship sections weighing up to 900 tons. Soon, it will be able to carry 1050 tons, the equivalent of 579 Ford F-150 pickup trucks.

Good to know. :-)

#1  The USS Ronald Reagan incorporates various fire-fighting measures, including washdown systems and aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) that utilize sprinklers onboard. These emergency measures are also prepared to fight chemical, biological and radiological attacks. (Nuclear fallout areas.)
