| 11 civilians released from captivity in Helmand |

| The Ministry of Interior in a statement on Sunday said that 11 people were freed from Taliban’s custody in a military operation carried out by Special Force Unit of the Afghan National Police in southern Helmand province. “Those released included five civilians and six Afghan National Security Force members,” the statement said. The operation was launched in Naqel Abad village in Nad Ali district in the province, the statement said. The statement did not provide more details about the operation. |
