2017-05-30
US Senator John McCain said Russian President Vladimir Putin is a bigger threat to global security than ISIS, and warned that the Senate would push for sanctions against Moscow for its alleged interference in the US election.

#17  I look forward to the day that Arizona elects a new Senator.

#15  Russians sitting in on interrogations was a very common story back in the day. Clancy even used it as a sub-plot in one of his novels.

This maps into the Russian pilots flying some of the migs in 'nam and Korea as well. That is something that may have gotten to McCain, if he thinks the Russians shot him down........

#14  The stories I have heard involved, all but beginning with "Now, this is no S**t..." like any salty Sea Story was that: Russian Intelligence Officers, sat in on interrogations, may have assisted with same, and possibly some of our ELINT specialists were 'disappeared' and reported as 'presumed KIA/No Body'... Stories, but they could certainly be something inhabiting the back of McCain's mind.

#13  IMO, there's a possibility he was recruited by the Chinese while where, magpie.

#12  Sometimes I wonder if McCain's time at the Hanoi Hilton has left him with some mental baggage that he just can't, or won't, let go. The Russians as an ever-present Phantom Menace seem to be something he just can't shake.

#10  I'm glad McCain did not get elected. I'm not glad Obama got elected or re-elected. Obama did much damage to the country and as Trump said: "Obama left behind a mess."

#9  We don't have to be friends with Putin but we should at least be pragmatic enough to recognize that we have certain things in common with him and we for damn sure don't need a shooting war with him.

It's extremely difficult for me to say this but I have concluded that America dodged a bullet in the 2008 presidential election. As bad as Baraq Obama was, McCain would have been worse. He's a war monger and a dangerous mad man. It's bad enough having him in the Senate.

#7  He just says shit like this to be on the TV and have stuff written about him and to tweak the right's nose.

When it comes time for elections, he is Mr. Conservative then. But for now he can bloviate all he wants.

#6  Agree P2k but the McCains of the world don't care about those suicide bombings because the elites are never the targets. A few proles get offed? Too bad, we'll send flowers.

I would love to see the response if Davos or a political convention or toney DC party was kaboomed and some of the elite bit the big one.

#5  At least the Russians act in a rational manner, a foundation upon which MAD was based.

I don't recall too many suicide bombings aimed at and among our respective civies during the Cold War.

#4  Like Maxine Waters, McCain says many things utters much meaningless blather. Do your job John and actually look into the false Russian narrative put forth by the DNC. You might consider looking into the Ukraine connection to HRC and her interest in going to war with Russia.

#3  I think he's offended because Russians don't bother responding to his attacks, gorb.

I'd say Chinese - not Muzzies, no more uro.

#1  And some might say McCain is a bigger threat than Putin.
