| [IsraelTimes] A Paleostinian was killed by Israeli fire in the Gazoo Strip on Tuesday, the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",-run health ministry said, naming him as Fadi al-Najjar, 25. "A Paleostinian was mortally maimed by Israeli shots during festivities on the Gazoo border," said health ministry front man Ashraf al-Qudra. An IDF spokeswoman said that the army was "aware of the reports" that al-Najjar was killed but did not comment further. She said Paleostinians hurled rocks and rolled blazing tires at the border fence, prompting troops to fire warning shots. "IDF forces called rioters to halt and, upon continued violence, fired warning shots into the air." the spokesperson said, adding that troops only used live fire to try and disperse the protesters. |
