| MO Gov Signs 'Blue Alert' Bill |

| [INSIDER.FOXNEWS] Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R) last week signed into law the so-called "Blue Alert" bill, which creates a system similar to Amber Alerts that let law enforcement agencies and the public know when an officer has been assaulted. It also increases the penalties for assaults on law enforcement officers. Flanked by officers and politicians at the St. Louis Municipal Police Academy on Thursday, Greitens said more has to be done to protect the men and women who put their lives on the line for the public every shift. Missouri becomes the 28th state to adopt the alert system. |
