| Roadside bomb kills 2 rebels in Syria's Daraa |

| [AlMasdar] Two rebel fighters ‐ one of them is a senior field commander ‐ from the FSA-affiliated Ahfad al-Rasol Brigade were killed as a roadside kaboom hit their vehicle in the southern province of Daraa. Mowafak and Mousa Mahammed were traveling on Gharz Highway to the east of Daraa city when an IED destroyed their car, killing both immediately. No one has yet grabbed credit for the attack. A province-wide ceasefire brokered by the USA and Russia is being implemented for approximately two weeks so far with the Syrian Army withdrawing some of its troops from the frontlines. Local activists reported the attack to be an act of vengeance among rival rebel groups in the area. |
