Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Seven persons, including policemen, were killed and injured in a blast caused by a booby-trapped vehicle in western Mosul, a police source said on Monday.“A parked booby-trapped vehicle exploded in Bab Sinjar market, targeting security troops and civilians, leaving four civilians killed and three others, including two policemen, wounded,” Col. Hussein Emad told BasNews.
Security troops, according to Emad, “conducted investigations on the blasts and arrested several persons at the blast spot.”
Despite declaring victory over IS, the group have reportedly carried out attacks against security forces over the past few days.
