| Terrorist bids in Lahore, Bajaur foiled by security forces |

[DAWN] The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Lahore said it had tossed in the slammerYouse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! two 'terrorists' belonging to the Tehrik-e-Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... Pakistain (TTP) and the Jamaatul Ahrar ...A Pak Taliban splintergroup that split off from the Mullah Fazlullah faction because it wasn't violent enough... (JuA) on Tuesday evening. Improvised bombs (IEDs) and grenades were also recovered from the suspects, a statement from the CTD said. "The CTD Team has arrested two terrorists/members of banned ...the word bannedseems to have a different meaning in Pakistain than it does in most other places. Or maybe it simply lacks any meaning at all... organization JuA/TTP, namely Ali Noor and Sartaj Khan, from Walton Road Lahore," read the statement. "They were preparing to launch an attack on personnel of law enforcement agencies in next week," it added. A CTD investigation team was at the scene of the crime and an investigation was underway, the statement read. |
