Syrian Army intercepts big weapons shipment to jihadists in western Qalamoun – Pictures |

[AlMasdar] Syrian military authorities have intercepted a large weapons and ammunition shipment that was destined for Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) snuffies in western Qalamoun. Sources say that the arms shipment originated from central Syria and contained thousands of bullets and dozens of anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM). No specific details exist to how exactly the illegal arms transferal was intercepted by the SAA, however it is known that the would-be smugglers attempted to move the weapons and ammunition via pickup trucks in areas without government checkpoints during late night hours. The HTS forces in western Qalamoun to which the shipment was bound are currently embattled against both the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah who greatly outnumber and outgun the jihadists. The SAA and Hezbollah have recently initiated hostilities in this region in an attempt to expel HTS from its last string footholds along the Syrian-Lebanese border. |

#3 Seeing as on how they spread the equipment out for the photos to make the interdiction appear larger, looks like only about one truckload at most. |
