| Homs (Syria News) Syrian government forces, backed by foreign militias attacked, at noon today, the Islamic State headquarters in the city of Sukhna, east Homs. Qasioun News reported that Syrian government forces, backed by foreign militias launched, at noon today, an extensive attack on the locations and headquarters of the Islamic State group, in the vicinity of the city of Sukhna, east Homs. Meanwhile, clashes broke out between the two sides, amid mutual artillery and rockets shelling, but the security forces were not able to achieve any significant progress. Furthermore, Syrian warplanes bombarded the Islamic State’s headquarters, killing and wounding several terrorists, as well as destroying a number of military vehicles. It is noteworthy, Syrian regime forces and allied militias, backed by Russian aerial coverage, are seeking to recapture the city of Sukhna. Earlier this week, Syrian army, backed by foreign militias managed to recapture several security headquarters belonging to the Islamic state in the city of Sukhna after violent clashes. |
