Is Mueller's Grand Jury Impeachment Step One?
2017-08-05
[Nat Review] The principal function of a federal grand jury is to investigate a suspected crime with an eye toward returning an indictment -- a formal accusation of felony misconduct. In the alternative, a grand jury may file a "no true bill," a formal finding that the prosecutor failed to show probable cause that the subject of the investigation committed a crime.

Sometimes, however, to vote yea or nay on a proposed indictment is not the grand jury’s only option. In certain situations, federal law authorizes a grand jury to file a report detailing its findings, even if criminal charges are not forthcoming. One such situation involves investigations of public officials. Instead of returning an indictment, a grand jury may issue a report that recommends an official’s removal from office.

These columns have lamented the Justice Department’s assignment of a prosecutor to investigate the president without specifying a crime or the factual basis for a criminal investigation.

We’ve also observed that no indictable crime is required to trigger impeachment proceedings. Neither, we now note, is a provable crime a prerequisite for the issuance of a grand-jury report. Thus, the question arises: Is Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s impaneling of a new grand jury in Washington step one in the impeachment of President Donald Trump?

#5  Is Mueller's Grand Jury Impeachment Civil War Step One?

FIFY. If you think you have problems with sanctuary cities and cooperation what are you doing to do when your civil war shifts from cold to hot? Think Northern Ireland or Iraq before the Anbar Awakening (but without the Awakening).

#4  If I were Trump, I'd seriously consider pardoning everyone Mueller investigates. Like, immediately the second Mueller looks in their direction. Basically make his witch hunt as pointless in real life as it is legally.

Trump would catch hell for it, but that will happen anyway.

#3  But think of the positive aspects Besoeker - Americans learn to focus on the real problem (the swamp), instead of concentrating on the meaningless sock puppets like Obama.

#2  Yes, the swamp creatures are fighting ferociously. Trump is the first president to challenge them in decades, possibly ever. Their very existence is at stake.

If nothing else, President Trump has revealed the meaninglessness of separate political parties as well as these evil, corrupt, parasitic beltway bastids for what they actually are.

I pray for the safety of both Trump and Pence.

#1  Mueller's grand jury soviet style investigation and prosecution is designed to personally destroy as many of President Trump's associates as possible with grand jury testimony, intimidation, and leaks. This will isolate the President and neutralize him politically, destroying the presidency.

This is a coup de'etat on the installment plan, and is treason. Watch the cast of players on the Mueller (Obama)team and you will identify the players. This is big leage $h!t.
