U.N. Approves Sanctions Against North Korea
2017-08-07
[OANN] The U.N. Security Council unanimously approves new sanctions against North Korea, following two recent ICBM tests.

The sanctions ban exports from the country totaling $1 billion dollars or more, a measure that is broadly expected to deeply cut into the country’s profits.

Speaking at the meeting U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley
...first woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley is the youngest current governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems...
praised the move.

"This resolution is the single largest economic sanctions package ever leveled against the North Korean regime," Haley said. "The price the North Korean leadership will pay for its continued nuclear and missile development will be the loss of one third of its exports and hard currency. This is the most stringent set of sanctions on any country in a generation."

#5  Can't help but play the 'Had this been Obama' game on this one. If HRC and Ambassador Power orchestrated this resolution the media would've portrayed it as a the diplomatic coup for the ages. But this is Trumpco so the media narrative is one of Russian manipulation and US naivete.

#3  The question is for how long the Chinese will follow them.

Fortune cookie says: "Not Long".

#2  Sanctions won't work. They will only affect those who have no power to change anything.

#1  Too extreme to be a blockade. If the rule is honored it will destroy the remaining population within two years. The NKors MUST respond and their tools have been threatened violence.
They have laborers in many countries that are easy enough to activate.
