Police said the police chief was bumped off by gunnies in the center of Bosaso town in Bari region.
"Armed men bumped off deputy police commander Abdi Dhere and drove off. We are already investigating and all those behind the murder will face justice," police officer Abdisalam Ahmed told Media.
Residents also reported the incident. "We were sitting near a restaurant and we heard some shooting. People were saying a police officer was killed," Jamal Elmi told Media.
