| Policeman killed in armed attack northern Kirkuk |

| Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) A policeman was killed in an armed attack in north of Kirkuk province, a security source was quoted saying. "An unidentified gunman opened fire on a policeman in the middle of Azadi market, north of Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... which caused his immediate death," the source told AlSumaria News on Monday. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source added "security troops cordoned off the accident spot and transferred the victim’s body to forensic medicine department. Investigations were conducted. |
