| 1 dead in small arms attack in Parwan |

| One person was killed and four others were wounded Monday night in Parwan province when unknown gunmen attacked a vehicle, local officials said Tuesday. Farhad Hashimi, acting head of Parwan police criminal branch, said the incident occurred in Jabbarkhail village in Sayedkhail district when gunmen attacked a Hilux vehicle which was on its way to the province capital, Charikar city. He said one man was killed and four others including a policeman were wounded in the incident. The reason behind the attack is not clear so far, Hashimi said. Police did not provide details about identity of the victims but said an investigation has started into the incident. |
