| Jihadist infighting takes over the northern Homs de-escalation zone |

| [AlMasdar] Intense festivities broke-out in the northern countryside of the Homs Governorate on Wednesday, as jihadist rebels from al-Rastan and Talbiseh clashed with one another over accusations of seeking reconciliation with the government. According to a statement released by jihadist activists, festivities began at several checkpoints between Talbiseh and al-Rastan in northern Homs; this infighting resulted in a number of injuries and the arrest of several people. At the same time, Syrian Army choppers dropped thousands of fliers over the northern countryside of Homs, encouraging the people in the area to seek reconciliation with the government and to kick out the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham. The primary opponent to the reconciliation process has been Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorists; they are affiliated with al-Qaeda and refuse any peace terms. |
