| FO rubbishes US general's claim regarding Afghan Taliban presence in Pakistan |

| [DAWN] The Foreign Office (FO) on Thursday rubbished United States (US) Gen John Nicholson's "unacceptable" claim that Washington is aware of the Afghan Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... leadership's presence in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. The FO front man also termed former ambassador to India Abdul Basit's letter to former foreign secretary Aizaz Chaudhry unfortunate, saying that the need of the hour was a focus on other important issues facing the country. |
