Michelle Obama outshines all Democratic prospects for 2020
2017-09-10
[THEHILL] It cannot be overstated how eagerly the Democrats want to take back the White House in 2020.
Because of her experience as an executive...
The Democrats face many obstacles in this effort, but the greatest threat is the fierce internal divisions within the party.
... and her good taste in clothes...
Two of the leading prospective presidential candidates, Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), have begun national fundraising operations. Former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
has been busy building a national email list to communicate directly with his supporters, and Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) has already announced his presidential candidacy.
... and all she did to provide delicious school lunches to our kids...
The Democratic Party does not just need a new leader, but a new policy agenda that is aimed at growing our economy, promoting traditional party values and doing more than resisting President Trump at every step.
... and she did so much toward getting the nation into its current excellent economic posture...
Major Democratic donor Marc Lasry told The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...
, "’It’s gotten ridiculous," and the Democrats "need a clearer message about what they want to do, not just about opposing Trump."
... and she knows where the bathrooms are in the White House...
As I’ve said before, the Democrats need an alternative plan to rebuild and unite the party if they have any hope in winning back seats in Congress in the 2018 midterms, nonetheless the White House in 2020.
Other than The Resistance®?
This alternative plan requires a new, united opposition, led by a political leader with widespread popularity.
And who, who might that be?
The only person I can see accomplishing this would be none other than the party’s most popular political figure: Michelle Obama.
Yay. Hurray.
Let me be clear: This is not an endorsement. I have been, and still am, critical of Barack Obama
Because I won...
’s presidency. Michelle Obama would not be my candidate, and I do not agree with many of the positions I believe she would advance. But as an analyst, Michelle Obama is clearly the Democrats’ best chance to reunite the party and win back the White House in 2020.
Because dynastic politix is what America's all about.

Like her pant suits that look like they were cut for Spongebob Squarepants?

#12  Observe how many vile politicians would be absent on recent or current stages, from Nancy Pelosi to Hillary Clinton, via Al Gore and Jerry Brown.

Pelosi: daughter of Thomas D'Alesandro, Jr., who was a Democratic party U.S. Congressman from Maryland and Mayor of Baltimore (erector of confederate monuments, by the way).

Gore: son of Albert Gore Sr., a U.S. Representative who later served for 18 years as U.S. Senator from Tennessee.

Brown: son of Edmund G. "Pat" Brown Sr., 32nd governor of California (1959–1967).

Dianne Feinstein: mayor of San Francisco.

Kamala Harris: served as the 32nd Attorney General of California.

John Kerry: son of Richard John Kerry, a diplomat in the State Department's Bureau of United Nations Affairs.

Barbara Boxer: her daughter Nicole married Tony Rodham, the youngest brother of Hillary Clinton in a ceremony at the White House.

... ad nauseam

#11  While term limits can be helpful, two other limits would do more for the safety of our freedoms: 1) once you have been elected or served in a given branch, all other branches are off limit; and 2) you cannot be employed by or serve in government if any relative of yours (by blood or marriage, within two generations, including cousins) is or has been in government, at any level (city, state, federal).

It's not just the presidency.

#9  She'd be the perfect 'Deep State' candidate. I'll wager the Hildebeest and her are mulling a Clinton-Obama ticket as we speak.

#8  Moochelle would be a figurehead president just like Baraq. She would never say anything without a teleprompter and ValJar, or someone very much like her, would be pulling the strings.

#7  The best part about Trump is that he's not named Bush or Clinton.

Yep. If Trump never gets anything else done in his entire time in office it'll still be worth it for that one reason alone.

#6  It's like two parties racing to the bottom to see who crashes first.

#4  Two for one: anyone opposing her is both racist and sexist. In fact, three for one.

#3  ...Popcorn, anyone?

This one seems reasonably easy to counter - just play her "finally proud of America" clip on a perpetual loop.

#2  No more fucking nepotism, Jesus Christ.

The best part about Trump is that he's not named Bush or Clinton. We have a real problem in America with an aristocracy that thinks it is their divine right to rule us like kings. That it has become hereditary is so bad.
