| Spotted at the Vuelta a Espana... |

| Chris Froome pulls off the rare Tour de France / Vuelta win in the same year, but I'm mentioning something much more sinister / idiotic I spotted when they were handing out the trophies at the end of the race. There was a building in the background from which some jagoffs hung a fairly big banner - REFUGEES WELCOME, and the TV crew (Olympic Channel, formerly NBC Universal) made it a point to show it a second time for about twenty seconds. To me, it's just another data point on how far Europe's political 'leadership' slid into this complete insanity. |
