DirecTV Allowing NFL Sunday Ticket Refunds After Protests, Ratings Already Down
2017-09-28
[OANN] DirecTV is offering refunds to customers who want to cancel their NFL Sunday ticket package following recent outrage over football players kneeling during the national anthem.

Previously, subscribers who wanted to cancel or downgrade the almost $300 package had to do so before the season, which began on September 9th.

Season passes purchased after September 10 were generally non-refundable.

However, AT&T decided to change the policy in light of the nationwide upheaval.

New Nielsen ratings reveal NFL viewership is already dropping just three weeks into the 2017 season.

Viewership for national telecasts has dipped to just over 15 million this year after averaging nearly 18 million through the first weeks of last season.
