| Jihadist rebels launch surprise attack near Turkish-Latakia border |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham launched a surprise attack near the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s attack proved successful in the beginning, as their forces were able to capture a few points in the Turkmen Mountains. However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... the al-Qaeda linked group’s success would be short-lived once Syrian Arab Army reinforcements arrived from nearby Rabi’yah this afternoon. The Syrian Army reversed all of the jihadist gains and retaliated by firing several artillery shells towards the strategic town of Kabbani in the Kurdish Mountains. According to a military source, the Syrian Army lost 7 soldiers during the jihadist attack, prompting their high command to file a grievance with the countries overlooking the de-escalation agreement. |
