#4 Friend of my son flew F114s off carriers. (yes I am that old). His stories of night ops were mind blowing. It definitely takes a different breed of cat to fly them or work the deck. |

#3 When I was in the Navy, the gossip was that at least a dozen of the crew and maybe 1 from each squadron would be killed in one cruise. |

#1 From what I've seen and heard about aircraft carriers it is mind boggling that serious injury doesn't occur hourly. Talk about a high risk mechanical environment. |
