| 1 dead in ISIS attack near Baqubah |

| Baqubah (IraqiNews.com) Three persons were killed and injured as Islamic State militants launched an attack in south of Baqubah, a security source said on Wednesday. “Several militants attacked al-Jeel village in south of Baqubah, which left a woman killed and two other persons wounded. A vehicle and a rest house of the family were burnt,” the source told Alghad Press. Confrontations occurred, according to the source, between the villagers and militants “for more than an hour and half.” “The residents forced the militants to escape after chasing them in the vicinity of the village,” the source added. |
