A judge permanently blocked Trump's 'sanctuary cities' executive order
2017-11-22
[Circa] A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked President Trump’s executive order to cut funding from so called "sanctuary cities."

Trump’s order would have removed some federal funds from cities that limit their cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities.

U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick
Oh, him again.
rejected the Trump administration’s argument that the measure only applies to a relatively small pool of money.

Orrick also said that Trump cannot set fresh conditions on spending that Congress has previously approved.
Next up: The Supremes!

#9  Orrick is an Obama left-over but the name Orrick sounds like it ought to be a vacuum cleaner brand.

#7  9th Circus first. Then the Supremes.

We are talking about CRIMINAL illegal aliens. That's who the feds want. And that's who this asshole is preventing punishment of - people that knowingly harbor and protect wanted federal criminals.

Congress can fix this. Pass a law explicitly revoking any form of immunity for local governments AND individual actors (officials, police officers, etc) in the case of failure to enforce federal immigration laws against criminal illegal aliens. And add a crime of deliberate failure (i.e. refusing to execute the law or interfereing with the law enforcement efforts) to enforce that allows a civil suit to be brought in federal court against not only the organizations but against the individuals.

Then sit back and watch "sanctuary" for criminal illegal aliens suddenly disappear when Councilwoman Libtard and Councilman ChamberofCommerceTool get sued and lose their homes and savings.

And before you go all 11th amendment, look at this case, its long-established precedent.

#5  he was bundling cash for Obama and Dems

"Public Citizen, a liberal group founded by Ralph Nader, reported that Judge Orrick raised $200,000 for Barack Obama as well as personally donating $30,000 to committees supporting his campaign. In 2004, Orrick also bundled $100,000 for John Kerry’s failed presidential campaign."

#1  Just encourage private citizens victimized by illegals to sue their sanctuary authorities. And level business destroying fines on anybody caught employing illegals.
