Don't let the headline get your expectations up, but it is a quick read about a lucky Norker.

#7  Clearly Skid, you've never had North Korea food. From what I read, they let the food fermentate a bit, grow maggots in it (for protein) and maybe, if there's any spare fuel to be had, cook it before serving.

Hospital food is bland on purpose to serve as many patents as possible, by appealing to the lowest common denomination, which is orders of magnitude above anything the Norks has (except the ruling party.)

(Disclaimer, I've never had Nork food either, going by what I've 'heard'.)

#6  I imagine the hospital food tastes like pure heaven to him.

If he gets hospital food I imagine he will want to go back.

#2  In case anyone thinks North Korea is a workers paradise:
doctors found parasites they'd never seen before inside NK sergeant's body

The presence of several large parasites, the longest of which was 10.5 inches, in the man’s intestines complicated the surgery to remove the bullets from the man’s abdomen.

“We discovered parasites that are simply not found in people in this country,” he explained, “I haven’t seen them in my 20 years as a doctor except in textbooks.”

The parasites were reportedly roundworms.
