[Blaze] A Catholic priest in Chicago who was under investigation for interactions he had with an underage boy has committed suicide. Reverend James Csaszar had served at New Albany’s Church of the Resurrection in Columbus.According to a statement from the Catholic Diocese of Columbus, Csaszar had been under investigation for "excessive and questionable" text and phone communications with an underage boy. He was also being investigated for possible misuse of funds at a church he had served prior to his last church.
He had been placed on administrative leave on November 7 as the accusations were being investigated.
The details have not been released, but his body was discovered in downtown Chicago Wednesday, and police have ruled his death a suicide.
