US told to learn from Pakistan in war on terror
2017-12-25
[DAWN] A day after the Foreign Office issued a strongly worded statement in response to the US assertion about "putting Pakistain on notice" over alleged terrorist safe havens, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Saturday hit out at the US administration, asking it to learn from Pakistain’s experiences in the war against terrorism instead of threatening it.

In a statement on his official Twitter account, the minister said: "Dont blame or threat[en] us, learn from our experiences in war against terror... if that is our common objective."

On Friday, US Vice President Mike Pence ‐ during an unannounced visit to Afghanistan ‐ alleged that Pakistain had for too long provided safe havens to Death Eaters but those days were over, as President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
had "put Pakistain on notice".

"Pakistain has much to gain from partnering with the United States, and Pakistain has much to lose by continuing to harbour criminals and terrorists," he said while addressing US troops at Bagram airbase.

Referring to Mr Pence’s ’warning’, Mr Asif said "frustrations on diplomatic front in UN and war in Afghanistan are reflected in statements of US administration".

#9  Perhaps he's saying the US should take Pakistan's example and train and support terrorists. If that is the case he seems a bit naive about who we would set them upon.

#8  Aren't we already there? Intel agencies arming extremists who want to kill us?

Just for the record, an oft taken roete by totalitarian regimes.

#7  Aren't we already there? Intel agencies arming extremists who want to kill us? Politicians who call those extremists friends? Am I missing something?

That seems to be the only 'expertise' they have.
