#6  the 5.56 won't stop a gnat much less a bad guy in body armor

But effective for civilian crowd control.

#5  I'm waiting for lefties to flip out because of the Koch name. Shouldn't be too long.

#3  Hopefully H&K doesn't build them out of returned parts from their G36 fiasco.

#2  And of course they chose to chamber this beautiful weapon in 5.56 instead of the readily available 7.62 with the same faulty logic they used when they chose the M-15. The smaller round allows to carry more ammo...well we all know that you have to shoot more ammo to do anything because the 5.56 won't stop a gnat much less a bad guy in body armor...especially since we are working in desert environments now and the foreseeable future, why not get a round that can reach out and touch someone at 300 meters or so?

I've never liked the popgun 5.56. I've seen troops have to spray rounds and borrow ammo because a 5.56 won't cut brush or penetrate jungle foliage.

Dang.

#1  Really curious the G. couldn't force quality and performance standards on US manufacturers. Too much retooling of men and machines required to be cost effective I suppose.
