| A total of 12 unidentified armed individuals tied to a Ukrainian militant nationalist group were detained and forced to leave a village by local residents and the police in eastern Ukraine, according to Russian language news accounts. On Saturday evening, 12 people, later identified as residing in Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev and the Kharkov regions, entered the village of Mykulychyn in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Reports say the 12 were dressed in military fatigues and armed with hunting rifles and non lethal weapons. The group had told villagers they were there to stop illegal logging in the region A group of about 200 residents surrounded the group and demanded they leave.
