California Democratic Party doesn't endorse Feinstein re-election bid
2018-02-26
[FoxNews] The California Democratic Party will not endorse Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s re-election bid this year, with delegates at the party’s annual convention giving the majority of votes to her top primary challenger, progressive State Sen. Kevin de Leon.

De Leon got 54 percent of the vote, compared to 37 percent for the more moderate Feinstein, according to results released Sunday. But neither Democrat will receive the state party endorsement because they failed to reach the 60 percent threshold.

The vote totals were not a surprise, considering the state party’s liberal leaning.

And Feinstein leads de Leon by 29 percentage points in the primary race, according to the most recent RealClearPolitics polls average.

Feinstein, the oldest member of the Senate at 84, is seeking a sixth term.

#8  On second thought, there is Tom Steyer. Now there's a chilling thought.

#7  Just because they didn't endorse her doesn't mean she's going anywhere. It's the size of her war chest that matters most and I don't think any challengers will be able to match it.

#5  She's not as left-wing as her challenger.

"Not anymore, Ma'am."

#3  I'm not sure Feinstein won't end up with the nomination again. Hillary/DNC aced-out Bernie Sanders for the nomination. Many on the left, think Bernie really won the nomination since the Dem primaries were rigged bigly for Hildobeest.

#2  P2k, the problem is that they're getting someone more hard core left instead.

#1  Unlike AZ Trunks, the CA Donks think there's a time to take retirement. I'll give them that.
