| #2 Those old white guys who wrote that document had some 20 years prior had been Englishmen. It was in their memory that they had experienced the military dictatorship of Oliver Cromwell. They had themselves just gotten rid of the King's army. They knew circumstances dictated that they need a standing army, if only a small one. However as a protection to man's unending thirst for power, to check the use of such power they entrusted the entire male population with the means to inhibit natural human hierarchical behavior. The militia was suppose to be armed with the same standard weapon issued to their soldiers. In 1792 that was a musket, in 2018 that is a derivative of an AR-15. Period. Everything that the Left has done has shown it to act in a manner that the Founders expected in human behavior and thus this guarantee to ultimately protect our lives, our liberties and our honor. |
