| 3 die in bombing in Paktika market |

| At least two civilians and one policeman were killed and six wounded in a motorbike bombing in Paktika on Sunday morning. According to officials, the explosion happened about 10am at a busy market in Yahyakhel district. Officials said explosives had been packed in a motorbike. However one source said at least 12 people had been wounded, including one policeman. He said the wounded had been taken to hospital. Serious damage was also reportedly caused to buildings and cars in the area. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident. This comes after at least 20 people were killed in a string of bombings on Saturday in the country. Two bombings were reported in Helmand province on Sunday and a third in Kabul city. |
