As country listens to Florida teens, Black Lives Matter youths feel ignored

The poor darlings.
[ChicagoTribune] The young people of Black Lives Matter are hurt. And they have every right to be.

When they were protesting in the streets of cities across America, much of the country didn't bother to listen to their message. They were not embraced by the mainstream for their bravery, their determination or resolve to bring attention to reckless police killings that disproportionately impact young African-Americans.

Some labeled them troublemakers, even terrorists. And in the aftermath of the student uprising over the mass shooting in Parkland, Fla., they are taking to social media to vent their disappointment.

#10  I stopped caring about their cause almost immediately, but have nothing but contempt for them since those thugs kidnapped and tortured a mentally disabled kid -- and are apparently getting off without punishment.

#8  My (white) 33 year old nephew was shot and killed by police last year. Nobody protested, nobody rioted. (He was armed, and possibly drunk at the time. He had been threatening his ex-girlfriend. I bear no anger at the police. )

#7  Black Lives Matter may want to take a moment and reflect on the fact that whites don't give a squat about whites that are shot while attacking the cops and being thugs. Why would we care for blacks when they are shot attacking cops?

#1  Speaking of Chicago and black lives...In Chicago, 309 people have been shot this year. And by "this year", we mean in the last 2 months.
