| 11-year-old strangled to death in Ghotki district, suspects arrested |

| [DAWN] An 11-year-old girl was strangled to death on Friday night, allegedly by two neighbours, in Sardar Khan Pitafi village of Sindh's Ghotki district, DawnNews TV reported. According to the victim's father, the girl was killed by neighbours while the family had gone to visit a shrine in the area. The father's claims that the victim was raped before being killed were dismissed by Station House Officer Imamuddin, who said that the suspects had murdered the child because she saw them in a "compromising position". Police said that both suspects had confessed to the crime and were under arrest. The body of the child was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination. |
