Car Bomb In Somali Capital Leaves At Least Two People Wounded |
2018-04-29 |
[RADIOSHABELLE] At least two people are reported to have been maimed in a boom-mobile kaboom in the heart of the Somali capital Mogadishu on Saturday morning. The blast, according to the eyewitnesses the blast occurred near UNICEF office in the capital’s Waberi district, injuring two people. The incident took place as the security forces were searching a suspicious vehicle said to be belonging a government employee whose identity has not been released so far. No group has yet grabbed credit for the attack, which becomes the latest in such bombings in the city over the past few months. Somali security troops sealed off the scene following the attack and launched an investigation into the bomb kaboom. Al-Shabaab ... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia... often carries out similar attacks in Mogadishu targeting government offices, military barracks, and the popular hotels frequented by MPs and Somali officials. |
