The soldier was standing at a checkpoint outside the settlement, northwest of Nablus, when the car hit him. The driver then expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, according to the military. The Magen David Adom ambulance service said medics treated the 20-year-old at the scene and evacuated him to a hospital. IDF troops were searching the area for the perpetrator. Clashes between Paleostinians and soldiers were reported earlier in the Nablus area, where several people were reported injured by rubber bullets and tear gas inhalation.
