Holder: DOJ, FBI should reject Trump's requests
2018-05-22
[The Hill] Former Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday urged Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI officials to "simply say no" to President Trump's demand for an expanded investigation into his claims of FBI wrongdoing as it relates to his campaign.

"More DOJ norms being eroded. Trump-a SUBJECT of the investigation-wants access to material related to the inquiry," Holder tweeted.

#9  Um, I'm not a lawyer or anything, but don't the DOJ and the FBI work for the President. In my opinion, Trump should summon Sessions, Wray and the rest to the oval office,ORDER them to turn over the material, and summarily fire anyone who refuses. Lather, rinse, repeat, until he gets down to a level where someone will cooperate.

#8  The man never had a use for the Constitution or limitations of government power. You're not going to like it when others play by your rules.

#7  That the FBI and its allies spent weeks falsely implying that their informant was some sort of secret, covert, sensitive, undercover asset - when in fact he's a well-known CIA operative with a long, public history of dirty ops - is exactly why people shouldn't trust their claims:

#6  Not sure these are "requests".

#5  #2 & #3 hear, hear. Today's USA is not Czarist Russia, or Wiemar Germany - the real danger is not popular revolt but (as we seen in EUrope) the Mandarinate quietly taking over.

#3  They know they're guilty as hell. You only get flak when you're over the target.

#2  Looks like we found a sore spot. Better probe deeper.

#1  NOW we got ourselves an actual attempt at obstruction of justice.
