| ISIS claims attack on Syrian troops near Iraqi border |

(ISIS) issued a statement on Friday that grabbed credit for the attack against the Syrian troops near the Iraqi border yesterday. ISIS alleged through their official media wing that their rockets hit the Syrian military’s positions just after midnight in the Deir Ezzor countryside. The Islamic State’s claim comes just 24 hours after the Syrian military accused the U.S. Coalition forces of bombing their positions in the Badiya al-Sham region of Deir Ezzor. The U.S., in turn, denied any knowledge of this attack, despite accusations from Damascus. |
