He said the terror group was using the network to carry out assassinations of the government staff besides planting explosives, smuggling arms, and conducting other terrorist related activities.

Khogyani further added that the NDS Special Forces also confiscated 21 various types of weapons during separate operations conducted in Surkh Rod district.

He also added that the ISIS hideouts which were used to coordinate attacks in Jalalabad city and Rodat district during the Eid days have also been destroyed during the Arclight airstrikes.

The provincial government media office in a statement confirmed that the detained individuals have confessed to their crimes.

The detained individuals have told the security forces that they were trained by the foreigners including Pak holy warriors before they were deployed to Jalalabad city for the attacks.
