Iraqi farmer wounded in bomb explosion on Diyala bridge
Diyala (Iraqinews.com) – An Iraqi farmer was wounded Monday after a bomb exploded on a bridge in Jalawla city in Diyala, a security source was quoted as saying.
Iraqi troops killed IS militant in Diyala implicated in terrorist attacks
Diyala (Iraqinews.com) – Iraqi troops killed on Monday an Islamic State militant south of Baquba city in Diyala, the Defense Ministry said.
In a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Alforat News website, the ministry said the terrorist was “hiding behind poultry farms in Buhriz town, 6 miles south of the major city of Baquba, when the troops shot him dead,”
“The IS militant was implicated in launching attacks on a joint force from the Counter-Terrorist Service and the 18th infantry brigade,” the statement read
The statement added that the terrorist was “wearing Afghan clothes and holding grenades and a Kalashnikov assault rifle when the troops targeted him.”
