| Jihadists attack Syrian Army in northern Latakia following Idlib agreement |

| [AlMasdar] Jihadi groups attacked Syrian Army positions in northern latakia countryside with armed drones a few days after the Russia- ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire.... Idlib agreement. The attack, however, was foiled as the government forces shot down the armed drone before unloading its explosives on Army positions near Salma. The Syrian Army responded with heavy artillery and rocket shelling which targeted jihadi positions in Jisr al-Shughur where the drone is believed to have been launched. The failed attack comes a few days after Russia and Turkey concluded a deal on a de-militarized zone along the frontlines in Idlib, Hama and latakia provinces. |
