The Death Eaters, according to the statement, "worked for the group’s so-called soldiers department. There were also those who worked for the group’s security and Hisbah (vigilantism) departments, while the group was in control of Mosul city."

They were arrested in districts of al-Zahraa, Sumar and al-Qadisiya, west of Mosul, it added.

4 army personnel killed in confrontations against IS, northwest of Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Four soldiers of the Iraqi army have been killed in confrontations with Islamic State members, northwest of Mosul, a security source from Nineveh Operations Command said on Sunday.

Speaking to BasNews website, Lt. Gen. Hazem Tawfiq said “security troops are currently cordoning Badush mountains and carried out a wide-scale campaign to storm the tunnels, where the militants are hiding. This came in the wake of clashes, earlier today, [in al-Lazaka village] between army personnel and the militants.”

“Four personnel were killed, while the militants ran away,” he added.

Troops, according to Tawfiq, “are progressing with support by army jets, which began shelling ahead of raiding the tunnels.”
