2018-09-27 |
[MAANNEWS] The Israeli authorities banned five Paleostinians, including a woman, on Wednesday, from entering the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, in occupied East Jerusalem, for periods ranging from two to six months. Locals told Ma'an that the Israeli authorities summoned Aida Sidawi, a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem, for interrogation and banned her entry to al-Aqsa for two consecutive weeks. The Israeli authorities also banned Imad Abdin, who is a firefighter at the al-Aqsa Mosque, from the compound for 10 days; Abdin was also prevented from completing renovations in the area. Israeli forces also banned Yacoub al-Dabaa, 17, and Murad al-Ashhab from entering the compound for the next three months, while Rawhi al-Kalaasi was banned for six months. The Israeli authorities carried out a campaign banning at least 30 Paleostinians entry to the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City of Jerusalem under the pretext of "providing security" while Israeli settlers take to the mosque and celebrate Jewish holidays. |
