| [ALMASDARNEWS] The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Tuesday that their troops seized a new town from the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (ISIS) in the Euphrates River Valley of the Deir Ezzor Governorate. Backed by more than 60 strikes from the Coalition partners, the Syrian Democratic Forces reportedly advanced eight kilometers into the Islamic State’s last Euphrates pocket. According to the SDF’s Spokesperson Kino Gabriel, the Syrian Democratic Forces captured the town of Shejla, while also destroying several Islamic State tunnels and HQs. In addition to the advance, the Syrian Democratic Forces also managed to killed over 75 Islamic State forces of Evil during their latest push into the Islamic State’s last pocket. The Syrian Democratic Forces are now working to surround the key Islamic State-occupied town of Hajjin, which is believed to be the location of the terrorist group’s command center. |
