[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a big retaliatory attack in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate, today, after the jihadist rebels attempted to infiltrate their positions near the Idlib buffer zone. Led by the 4th Division, the Syrian Arab Army began the attack by firing a number of missiles and artillery shells towards the defenses of Jaish al-Izza in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate. According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Army was heavily targeting the Jaish al-Izza fighters inside the towns of Buwaydah, Hasraya, and al-Latamnah. An intense exchange of gunfire would follow near al-Buwaydah, as the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division began to strike Jaish al-Izza’s trenches around the town. The source said that the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division is now working to clear this axis in order to avoid another situation like this in the future. |
