The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North in a statement said the airstrikes were carried out based on accurate intelligence information and coordinates.
According to 209th Shaheen Corps, the gatherings of the Talibs were targeted in Garziwan village and Islam Qala area of Sherin Tagab district.
At least 17 turbans were killed during the airstrikes on two gatherings, 209th Shaheen Corps said, adding that a commander of the group identified as Qari Rahmatullah was among those killed.
The statement by 209th Shaheen Corps also added that similar airstrikes were also carried out in Bazar Qala area of Dawlatabad district, leaving at least 11 turbans dead.
A key commander of the group identified as Qari Adbullah was among those killed, the 209th Shaheen Corps said.
