| Pregnant woman shot dead by Houthi sniper in northern Yemen |

| [ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A pregnant woman was killed by a Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews... sniper in al-Jawf, north of Yemen. The Saba news agency quoted a local source as saying that a Houthi sniper shot the woman, Shafeaa Mabkhout, while she was grazing sheep in al-Hajl in al-Maslub District. The area where was killed is far from the scene of battles between Houthis and Yemeni forces. The source added that residents rushed the woman to al-Jawf General Hospital in al-Hazm District but she died after arriving to hospital. |
